Caring For Your Sword or Knife

Carbon steel is great isn't it? It is, until you pull that expensive sword down from it's display and discover rust spots all over the blade! This can be prevented with a little care.

Before returning a sword to storage for any length of time, wipe the blade with a clean, soft cloth. Oil the blade with a good quality gun oil and wipe off the excess, leaving a thin protective film. If your blade is already rusty, buff the rust off with fine steel wool first.

If cared for, your blade will serve you well, and can be passed on for generations. And, just so you know, we can't be held responsible if your sword rusts – it is simply the nature of the beast.
