Great Highland Bagpipes
We have bagpipes! We've chosen to bring you pipes by both Dunbar and
Piper's Choice. Both brands make high-quality pipes at affordable prices.
Dunbar has a well respected name, but we think Piper's Choice is just
as good, for less money. It's your choice!
Dunbar pioneered the use of Delrin (a dense, high-quality polymer) as
a substitute for real blackwood in the making of bagpipes. (All sets below
are made of Delrin.) Delrin pipes are durable, all-weather, maintenance-free,
and they sound great!
Each set includes your choice of either a leather or synthetic pipe bag,
several decorative color options, a cane chanter reed, and synthetic drone
reeds.
If you are comparison shopping, and find a better price somewhere else,
please make sure you know what you are getting. Many companies will just
send you a box of parts. Every set of bagpipes we send out are tied-in,
set-up, and ready to play! Also, all of our bagpipes have a lifetime warrantee!
All
Highland Bagpipes are special order. Please allow 36 weeks for delivery.
Please contact us if you have any questions!

Note for Beginners
If you don't know how to play the bagpipes yet, you'll need to start
with a practice chanter.
Please don't purchase bagpipes until you know you are ready for
them. The average learner will play a practice chanter for about
a year before moving up to a full set of bagpipes. Contact your
local pipeband for free lessons, and when the time comes, advice
on buying your first set of pipes.

Piper's Choice Great
Highland Bagpipes
Piper's Choice makes
a good set of pipes for a great price. The Piper's Choice Basic
Model is the most affordable set of Highland pipes available! And,
the Piper's Choice Deluxe Model (pictured above) is nearly identical
to the Dunbar P3, for quite a bit less money. (It's our best selling
set of pipes.)

Piper's
Choice Basic Model Highland Bagpipes
BPHS1
$698
Rather than having separate mounts like the Deluxe Model, each part
of the Basic Model pipes are made as solid, all-black pieces. The
pipes are more durable this way (no mounts to crack on case of rough
treatment or temperature extremes), and personally, I think the
all-black looks pretty cool (though I like the look of the Dunbar
P1 better (see below)). Made in Canada. The actual pipes have a
lifetime warrantee. The bag, bag cover, cord, and reeds are guaranteed
against defects, but will last more or less time depending on how
they are cared for. Special
order. Please allow 36 weeks for delivery.

Piper's
Choice Deluxe Model Highland Bagpipes
BPHS2
$798
The Piper's Choice Deluxe Model (pictured above) is nearly identical
to the Dunbar P3, for quite a bit less money. (It's our best selling
set of pipes.) Very nicely done in black Delrin with imitation ivory
mounts. Made in Canada. The actual pipes have a lifetime warrantee.
The bag, bag cover, cord, and reeds are guaranteed against defects,
but will last more or less time depending on how they are cared
for. Special
order. Please allow 36 weeks for delivery.

Dunbar Great Highland Bagpipes
Dunbar is a very well
respected pipemaker, and makes high quality, affordable, professional-quality
bagpipes. The only difference between the three different Dunbar
models is cosmetic you can pay more for nickel or imitation
ivory mounts if you like how they look, but they are going to play
and sound the same. Dunbars come standard with a zippered Canmore
Gortex bag (a $100 value), considdered by many pipers to be the
best pipe bag available. Dunbar pipes are made in Canada.

Dunbar
Model P1 Highland Pipes
BPHD1
$998
The Dunbar Model P1 is my personal favorite. I like the smooth,
all-black look. (I like to think that if Darth Vader played the
bagpipes, these are the ones he would choose!) Made in Canada. The
actual pipes have a lifetime warrantee. The bag, bag cover, cord,
and reeds are guaranteed against defects, but will last more or
less time depending on how they are cared for. Special
order. Please allow 36 weeks for delivery.

Dunbar
Model P2 Highland Pipes
BPHD2
$1198
The Dunbar Model P2 includes a very nice-looking combination of
both nickel and imitation ivory mounts. Made in Canada. The actual
pipes have a lifetime warrantee. The bag, bag cover, cord, and reeds
are guaranteed against defects, but will last more or less time
depending on how they are cared for. Special
order. Please allow 36 weeks for delivery.

Dunbar
Model P3 Highland Pipes
BPHD3
$1198
The Dunbar Model P3 has all imitation ivory mounts, and basically
looks identical to the nice photo of the Piper's Choice Deluxe pipes
(top of the page). What you are
paying extra for here is the Dunbar name and reputation. Many players
will argue that it is worth the extra money. Made in Canada. The
actual pipes have a lifetime warrantee. The bag, bag cover, cord,
and reeds are guaranteed against defects, but will last more or
less time depending on how they are cared for.
Special order. Please allow 36 weeks for delivery.
