Casual Kilts
The Casual Kilt is a great
option if you want a nice looking kilt without spending as much money.
Nearly identical in appearance to our formal kilts, casual kilts are machine
stitched instead of hand stitched (less traditional, but in our opinion
actually more durable), and made with less tartan. The average casual
kilt is made from 4-5 yards of fabric compared to 8-9 yards in a formal
kilt. The end result is a kilt with pleats that are shallower and wider,
but still looks great. With less tartan, a casual kilt is lighter and
more comfortable for all day wear. Because we work with 8 different woolen
mills to bring you the largest selection, the kilts below are divided
based on each supplier's price and availability. See below for measuring

Premium Wool Casual Kilts Woven and made to order
in Scotland (KC13W made in Wales) from 100% new wool in your choice
of light weight (11/12oz), medium weight (12/13oz) or heavy weight
(15/16oz) tartan. Light weight wool makes a nice kilt, especially
for hot weather wear. However, if your tartan is available in medium
or heavy weight we generally recommend these weights for durability
and crisper pleats. Hip sizes 46" - 53" add $35. Hip sizes
54" + add $70. Light
